About

I'm a photographer of wildlife living in London and making the most of time spent out of the office

At the time of writing, a search for the hashtag “wildlife photography” on Instagram returns over 31.2 million results. The images shared vary in theme and quality, but a brief review reveals that the challenge for a modern wildlife photographer goes far beyond capturing good photographs of familiar subjects. With the proliferation of high-quality images, originality has become more difficult, and more essential, than ever.

So why enter this already saturated field of photography? In my view, no choice of subject is more challenging nor more satisfying, more elusive nor more expressive. Photographing wildlife requires patience and perseverance, but the experience is enormously rewarding.  A brief walk around the Natural History Museum’s annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition reveals plainly why no subject is more enticing to the photographer than the natural world.

Some of my favourite places for photography are Amobseli National Park, the Rocky Mountains and Richmond Park, which is just a few miles down the road from me. London, the world's first National Park City, is a surprisingly fruitful place for photographing wildlife.

My work has been exhibited in London and I have placed or been awarded in a number of competitions. If you would like to collaborate, please contact me.
